Area vendors serve delectable chocolate treats to support the American Red Cross annual event.  Tickets make wonderful Mother’s Day Gifts!

Newburyport, MA – The Newburyport Chocolate Tour, presented by the American Red Cross of Northeast Massachusetts, is returning for an amazing fifth year of delicious chocolate decadence.  Ticket holders will sample treats at more than 20 locations throughout downtown.

The Newburyport Chocolate Tour is sponsored by The Institution for Savings, the Newburyport Five Cent Savings Bank, Keller Williams Realty and Metrocites Mortgage as well as many other community supporters.

Participating venders who donate all there services and chocolate products include:

Event Schedule and Ticket Information
The Tour will be held, rain or shine, from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Tickets are still only $15 each!  Advance Purchase Tickets are available now at the following locations:  Greenery Designs Florist and Carriage Wheel Pub in Amesbury; Casa De Moda Clothing, Dance and Gifts in Beverly; The Last Stop Variety Store and The Bookstore in Gloucester; Giggles Gift Store in Hamilton; The Sports Stop in Wenham; Sovereign Bank in Manchester; Nanny’s Candies and Skyy Salon & Spa (formerly Della Salon) in Salisbury; First National Bank of Ipswich and Licorice and Sloe Company Teahouse in Newburyport.  They are also available at the American Red Cross of Northeast Massachusetts offices: 31 Green Street in Newburyport and 100 Cummings Center, Suite 207F in Beverly.

Call for Volunteers
The Red Cross is seeking volunteers to help on the day of the event.  Volunteer for the first or second shift and enjoy the tour at a discount of $8. Contact Christine Lambert at 978-462-8243 and join in on the fun!

Proceeds Support Local Red Cross Efforts
Proceeds from ticket sales will support the Northeast Massachusetts Chapter of the American Red Cross which includes 15 area communities. The agency delivers disaster relief and family emergency services, domestic preparedness for bio-terrorism, critical life saving services, 24-hour military assistance and medical equipment loan services.

Jim Jalbert is an avid collector of vintage and classic 16mm films and is a member of Film North, Inc. He started his collection at age 9 when his dad salvaged a group of films destined to be burned in the local dump. For over 35 years, Jim has continued to add to his film collection and will screen a few of his favorites this afternoon. The titles listed below are each approximately 10-30 minutes in length.

Beverly Cooperative Bank promotes Brandon Cole

SALEM, MA – APRIL 21, 2008 – Brandon Cole was recently promoted to Assistant Branch Manager of Beverly Cooperative Bank’s Salem office. He will continue to service the financial needs of bank customers as well as assist in the day-to-day operations of the branch and play an active role in community events.

Mr. Cole has been with Beverly Cooperative bank for four years serving as a Customer Service Representative.
